Ry Cooder is an eclectic slide guitarist from Santa Monica, California known for his interest in American roots music. His solo work has encompassed folk, blues, Tex-Mex, soul, gospel, and rock. He has collaborated with many musicians, notably including Eric Clapton, John Lee Hooker, The Rolling Stones,
Van Morrison, and The Doobie Brothers.
