Junior Wells (harmonica & vocals) is joined by Buddy Guy (guitar), on the PBS soundstage at WTTW TV Studios in Chicago on December 17, 1971.

The collaborative recorded efforts of Junior Wells and Buddy Guy culminated in the 1972 release of the long anticipated LP "Buddy Guy & Junior Wells Play the Blues." With both bluesmen busy touring the record was put on the back burner for the next two years. The project that had begun in 1970 was finally completed when two additional tracks from the J. Geils Band were added to fill the album.
