King at the Rumble
B.B. King performs "I Believe To My Soul" live in Africa in 1974 on stage before Muhammad Ali and a crowd of 80,000 he gives one of the most thrilling performances of his life.
When Muhammad Ali was preparing to fight the then-heavyweight champion George Foreman in 1974 for the historic "Rumble in the Jungle" in Zaire, Africa, a concert festival was also underway. In what is now considered one of his most memorable performances of all time B. B. King shines to an audience of over 80,000 letting loose on the songs that made him King of the Blues. Filmed by Academy Award winning director Leon Gast King in top form, look for candid shots of Muhammad Ali in the crowd.
